INDUSTRY 4.0
The industrial world is facing rapidly changing challenges. Our resources are limited and we all have to do more with less. Digitisation and automation are the tipping points for meeting these challenges. It is essential to collect, understand and utilise the enormous amount of data created. Digital transformation is doing exactly that by merging the virtual and physical worlds. As a result, the infinite amount of data allows us to use our limited resources efficiently and thereby make industry more sustainable.
Our goal is to make your factory an intelligent system.
INTEGRATED AND AGGREGATED DATA COLLECTION
Monitor individual machines and
plants by integrating and aggregating
information.

1. INTEGRATION WITH MACHINES
With Autechno’s products, data acquisition from the machine/plant is made quick and easy through the installation of hardware components and specific software supplies coordinated with the hardware.
FEATURES
- Possibility of acquiring digital, analogue and serial signals (RS232, RS485, Modbus RTU and/or TCP);
- Conversion of various communication protocols into a single standardised and homogeneous protocol (typically OPC-UA);
- Insertion directly into the electrical equipment of the machines.
BENEFITS
- Possibility of integration into all types of machines and plants;
- Fast revamping times;
- Possibility of making data available to a variety of analysis products.
2. INTEGRATED AND AGGREGATED DATA COLLECTION
With Autechno’s products, it is possible not only to connect to production facilities by directly acquiring signals/data from the machines, but also to send signals/data to the machines to automate strategic tasks such as configuring production line setups, realising the interconnection required by Industry 4.0.
Integration with machines and the collection of production data is increasingly a necessity because over time there has been a growing realisation that an important part of production information is present in the production department, and in this case in the machines.
Autechno’s product line for acquiring information from machines uses standard and customised hardware so that individual machines, sometimes very different from each other, can communicate seamlessly with supervisory systems (SCADA) and production management systems (MES). In order to comply with the dictates of Industry 4.0, through Autechno systems, it will be possible to supervise and remotely control even individual machines/plants.
FEATURES
- Supply of equipment; standard hardware
Sending commands such as setup, recipes, parts of programmes to the machines; - Receiving consumption, logical operating states, alarms, etc. from the machines.
BENEFITS
- Possibility of integration into all types of machines and installations;
- Fast revemping times;
- Possibility of making data available to a variety of analysis products.
3. MANAGEMENT, PRODUCTION MONITORING
Production management and monitoring, i.e. production control, is an essential aspect for any manufacturing company as it includes all those fundamental operations to organise production resources in order to improve competitiveness in the market by achieving all objectives.
For this step, MES software comes into action. The latter is responsible for recording and distributing data to optimise productivity, providing real-time information on the activities performed at the company and in the production departments. The speed and efficiency of the process implemented by the MES, coupled with the constant focus on minimising non-value-added activities, constantly redirects the plant’s work and maximises its productivity.
FEATURES
- Sequencing of production activities;
Automatic data collection and document management; - Real-time and historical performance analysis;
- Maintenance activities;
- Assignment of tasks to factory personnel.
BENEFITS
- Reduction of working time and costs;
- Analysis, data comparison and reporting;
- Speed, security and accuracy in carrying out work;
- Possibility of remote and tablet use;
- Adaptability to customer needs;
- Elimination of non-value-added activities;
- Standardisation and proactive and systematic application of processes across all sites;
- Real-time visibility and control along the production supply chain;
- Acceleration of trace analysis, root cause diagnosis and problem solving;
- Continuous improvement of product quality and new designs;
- Fact-based operational and strategic decisions;
- Complete control over the production process.
